forced leave for three months for not giving protocol to Arbab Rahim when he
was going to Larkana.

PMLQ friendly Care
taker setup blows away impartiality claim
It
is interesting to note the PMLQ friendly appointments in care taker setup.
Consider the appointment of Mr. Mansoor Tariq as the Federal Care taker
Minister for Railway. It may be of interest to know that he is the
brother-in law of Chaudhry Wajahat Hussain (brother of Chaudhry Shujaat) and
the nephew of Ghulaam Ahmed Bilour (An ANP candidate fro NA-1 Peshawar one
and also responsible for Qamar Abbas’s murder). Bilour’s son is contesting
against Zahir Shah on PF-2. This speaks volumes about the Pervez Musharraf’s
claim of having free and fair elections.

Dr. Amjad in NA-49

Federal minister for Provincial Coordination is announcing development
schemes in the vicinity of NA-49. Earth Moving equipment is being
extensively used for the construction of roads and paving of streets in a

Dr. Amjad is announcing
all development schemes as a part of a package by PML Q. The Minister is
violating all electoral laws manifestly. The same has been conveyed to your
office umpteen times but the Minister remains adamant to shred all electoral
rules to smithereens.

Assistant Director Local Govt. and the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad was
advised to immediately put an end to this practice and seize all development
activity in the area until after Jan 8, 2008.

the Electoral Rules.

that the aforesaid Tehsildar may immediately be removed to ensure
impartiality in the constituencies.

The sitting District

violating the code of conduct set forth by the Election commission of
Pakistan. The said Nazim in connivance with the police officials of the
aforementioned District has illegally ordered the transfer of 17 S.H.O’s of
the District in order to rig the forthcoming elections. Consequently, all of
the 17 S.H.O’s who are die hard supporters of MQM were transferred at the
same time, which is a brazen violation of law and offensive to law.

the constituency.

Nazim Kot Addu and the brother of a Naib Tehsildar Mustapha Karim Khar. These
both are using their authorities and running the election campaign of PML
(Q) candidate Murtaza Rahim Khar. The state machinery and funds are being
lavishly expended to manipulate and rig the elections.
That was brought in to
the notice of CEC to take immediate action against the misuse of the
Government official power and after denuding them of their official
assignments enforce symbol of transparency in the electoral process.

Complaint against Rana
Hayat and Tariq Naqai NA-142 Kasur
Ms. Nasira Arshad is a
candidate of PPPP and is contesting the forthcoming Elections from NA-142,
District Kasur. She has complained to the Central Monitorial Cell of
Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians, the state of affairs prevailing in
the said District. As per her grievance, Mr. Tariq Naqai and Mr. Rana Hayat
belonging to the PML are blatantly utilizing the state machinery/resources
to rig the Elections. Both the aforementioned persons are openly threatening
the loyalist supporters of PPPP of dire consequences and all persecutory
threats are being unleashed to brow beat them into submission. Not only
that, false cases are being registered against the supporters of PPPP on
trumped up charges, and several of them have also been arrested. All the
aforestated tactics are not only violation of the code of conduct but also
offensive to law and call for remedial action at your end.
It is therefore
requested that due notice of this grave misconduct be taken; otherwise the
Elections may be reduced to a mere farce if this continues.

from District president Layyah
PPP’s Central Election
Monitoring cell received a complaint from Abdul Majeed PPP president layyah,
in which he mentioned about the misuse of government vehicles by E.DO,
District Nazim and Tehsils Nazims for the election campaign of PML-Q
candidate. Secondly, E.D.O and Nazims are compelling masses to vote for PML-Q
candidate on the name of development funds. This issue has been repeatedly
brought into the notice of CEC that financial resources of the Government
are being abused/misused by the local Government officials at the behest of
the regime. Senator Sardar Latif Khosa urged CEC to take serious action to
stop such mal practices.

serious notice to nip the evil in the bud so that the general political
environment can improve; otherwise the country will be facing serious
turmoil which would be in nobody’s interest.

ex-government officials
Pakistan Peoples Party’s
Central election Monitoring cell sent the press cuttings/clippings of the
malpractices of the people who were in power till the caretakers took over
and who have left their proxies to exploit the official machinery for their
benefit. Such misconduct would make serious free and fair election
impossible. Cuttings included daily “Musawat”, daily “Inqalab” and daily
“Jang”, sent to the ECP.
