2011: A Chinese delegation headed by Chairman
Dongfang Electric Corporation called on
President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr
today.
Dongfang Electric
Corporation delegation comprised of Chairman
Mr. Si Zefu, Vice President Mr. Han Ziqiao,
Mr. Zhang Guorong, VP DEC International, Mr.
Li Hong, Chief Executive of Pakistan office
DEC, Mr. Chen Youping and Mr. Chen Huswei. Mr.
Liu Jian, Chinese Ambassador, was also present
during the meeting.
From Pak side,
Syed Naveed Qamar, Federal Minister for Water
& Power, Mr. Moula Bakhsh Chandio, Federal
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary
Affairs, Mr. Saleem H. Mandviwala, Chairman
BOI, Mr. Khalil Ahmed, Ambassador at large,
were present during the meeting besides
concerned federal secretaries and senior
officials.
Matters pertaining
to Nandipur power project where the Dongfang
Electric Corporation is involved were
discussed during the meeting.
The President
during the meeting said that Pakistan highly
values Chinese assistance to the country in
overcoming economic difficulties and
development. He said that Pak-China friendship
was now being transformed into a mutually
beneficial economic equation which would not
only further strengthen this time-tested
relationship but would also help to take
advantage of economic expertise and tremendous
progress made by China.
He said that the
Government was committed to provide all
possible assistance and facilitation to the
Chinese companies involved with various
projects in the country.

for the facilitation.
