Senator Asif Zardari condemns
terror attack on Indian embassy in Kabul

Islamabad July 8, 2008: PPP Co-Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Senator Asif
Ali Zardari has condemned the terror attack on the Indian embassy in Kabul
as barbaric and cowardly saying that it was perpetrated by the enemies of
peace who want to destabilize the region for advancing their own agenda.
In a statement today he said that he was shocked
over the deadly attack on Monday on the India embassy in which over forty
persons including five Indian Embassy officials were killed and a large
number injured.
He said that the incident should not deter the
countries in the region from pursuing their common agenda of peace. If
anything it should further strengthen their resolve to fight terror in all
its manifestations and forms, he said.
He expressed the hope that the perpetrators of
the crime will be exposed and duly punished in accordance with the law.
The PPP Co-Chairman also expressed profound
condolences to the bereaved families over the loss of lives of their near
and dear ones and prayed for the early recovery of those injured.
